Press release on Dynamo bridge surveys and road safety

We prepared a press release following our surveys of cyclists on the Millennium Bridge over Easter.  Not surprisingly, potholes and poor road surfaces were the biggest concern amongst those we surveyed.  Road safety fears also cropped up, which spurred us to look at how the  County Council is getting on with implementing the road safety measures they promised last year (Paul’s summary here).  Not brilliantly, is the answer: the easy stuff (lining and signing) has been done, but not changes to junctions.

The positive news was that the overwhelmingly good thing about our district was seen to be our cycle route network. Extending it could only increase its approval ratings!

The Lancaster Guardian today carries an article based on our surveys.
