- Planning application 15/01282/OUT for up to 14 dwellings on New Quay Road, Lancaster, has been withdrawn. The City Council’s case officer recommended refusal on the grounds of flood risk. A new application 16/00090/OUT has been submitted, and Dynamo has objected again on the same grounds as before – i.e. that driveways will open straight onto the shared-use path and cars will probably (based on what is happening further along the Quay) use the path as overspill parking.
- Planning application 15/01342/OUT for up to 125 dwellings on Ashton Road has received the thumbs-down for the time being from the County Council’s highway people. However, it has not been withdrawn.
- Planning application 15/01156/FUL for 32 houses on Lancaster Road, Overton – the case officer has recommended refusal on flood risk grounds.
While the results may be the ones that Dynamo wishes for, it is slightly depressing that our arguments in the first and third cases above were ignored.
The Ashton Road application will be an interesting one to follow.
