Planning applications – Ashton Road and Luneside

Dynamo has objected to two recent planning applications to Lancaster City Council.

  • 125 houses on Ashton Road, Lancaster – reference 15/01342/OUT.  Our reasons are the lack of cycle infrastructure (despite what the developer claims) and the knock-on effects on existing routes and roads as Ashford Road becomes a dangerous rat-run.  Read our submission here.
  • 14 houses on New Quay Road, Lancaster – reference 15/01282/OUT, as all the driveways will open straight onto the shared-use path.  Not only is there the danger of collisions but also the likelihood that the path will become an overflow car park.
