New housing development at Galgate

Dynamo has objected to the planning application for 72 new houses at Stoney Lane, Galgate, on the grounds that it does not adequately address cycling onto and around the new estate.  Read our submission here.

    No need to worry about danger to cyclists on the roads. Lancaster City’s Labour/Green coalition has just published its forward plans to totally eliminate traffic jams in Lancaster and between Morecambe and Lancaster, At the same time, there will be so little traffic on the A6 at Galgate, the planning officer is developing his cunning plan to employ a weed-control officer.

    i totally support this objection. Hopefully this may encourage the council to consider access for cyclists for all future proposed housing (and other) developments.
