Latest news on our A6 campaign

We have been busy recently – too busy, in fact, to update this blog!  As some of you may have seen in the local press, we have written a letter to County Councillor John Fillis (who has responsibility for transport and highways), with an impressive list of signatories.   Read our Open Letter to John Fillis November 2014 and read the Lancaster Guardian report here.  It sounds as if some of our arguments are getting through.

In a separate development, Dynamo has heard from Mike Kirby, Director of Transport and Environment at the County Council, in response to our recent e-petition.  In it, he states that the Lancaster Highways and Transport master plan is due out early in the New Year and confirms that the County will be looking at installing cycle lanes on the South Road section of the A6.

Hmmm . . . “looking at” is something Dynamo will have be “looking into”.
