Dynamo, the Lancaster and District Cycle Campaign, will hold its AGM on Thursday, 20th October starting at 7:15pm upstairs in the Gregson, Moor Lane, Lancaster; doors open at 7pm.
There will be a review of the past cycling year and a discussion about the developments required during the coming year so people are able to cycle safely and swiftly.
There will be a presentation by Dr Dave Horton who has been part of a team at Lancaster University studying “Cycling in Britain”. This was a three-part study into the barriers that inhibit people from cycling. When the conclusions of this empirical research were presented last month in London there was much controversy. This is an opportunity to hear the results of some though research and debate what it means in terms of cycling facilities if we are to enable more people to feel confident cycling.
Everyone, both members and non-members, are welcome to hear the results of this research.
