News from the 20’s Plenty campaign

Good news comes from the 20’s Plenty campaign. Councillor Tim Ashton has spoken about Lancashire County Council’s commitment to lowering speed limits in residential areas:

All roads in ‘residential areas’ in the Lancashire County Council area will be made 20mph.

This scheme has the possibility of vastly improving the everyday quality of life for everyone living in these areas, including people using bikes to travel through them. Further details of the benefits of 20mph schemes are available nationally and locally.
